Trust and safety at Headloom
Headloom changes the model in fashion and product photos. This is a summary of how we handle your images, the permissions you need and what happens if a paid swap fails.
What happens to uploads
Routine uploads and temporary processing files are deleted within 24 hours after upload, and routine generated outputs within 24 hours after generation. We do not use uploads, outputs or derived face information to train or fine-tune our own or a third party's AI models.
Account, security and other legally required records are retained separately. Legal preservation, reported abuse or security incidents can require limited records or relevant available content to be kept longer. Download results you want to keep. Read the Privacy Policy for the deletion windows and exceptions.
Consent from the people in both photos
Only use photos of people who have agreed to the proposed edit. Before each swap, you confirm permission from the people in both photos. Everyone shown must be 18 or older, and you must have the rights to both photos. Public figures are not allowed. Read the responsible-use rules.
A safety check on every uploaded photo
Both input photos must pass the automated safety check before a swap starts. Its checks can flag nudity, violent or graphic content, age concerns and missing faces. If the check cannot be completed, the swap does not start. A blocked swap that gives no result has its credit returned automatically.
The responsible-use rules prohibit nudity, sexual content, intimate edits, images of minors, non-consensual use, deception and harassment. These are rules for using Headloom, not a claim that automated checks can detect every violation.
An AI label in the file metadata
Headloom attempts to add a machine-readable AI-edit label to PNG, JPEG and WebP results. It records Headloom as the editing tool and identifies the image as edited using AI. The label changes metadata, not image pixels.
Files that cannot be parsed are returned unchanged. Existing XMP metadata in JPEG and WebP files is preserved, which can mean no Headloom label is added. When publishing, follow the AI-labeling rules wherever the law or platform requires disclosure.
Payments and refunds
Plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled; pay-as-you-go swaps are a one-time purchase. Payments and approved refunds are handled through Razorpay. A failed swap that gives no result has its credit returned automatically.
Within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, or of a pay-as-you-go purchase, you can ask for a full refund if you have not used any swaps from it. Renewals and used swaps are generally not refundable; the policy includes exceptions for unauthorised or duplicate charges and unresolved service faults. EU and UK consumers also have a 14-day withdrawal right.
You can cancel a plan from Billing to stop future charges. Read the Refund and Cancellation Policy for eligibility, exceptions and how to request a refund.
